Maillard Tavern

verdict– a tex-mex influenced restaurant in River West specializing in burgers but also offering some other mouth-watering options like pozole, a traditional mexican soup, and the “Sloppy Giuseppe, a wild boar ragu sandwich. I WILL BE BACK!

Pub Royale is an Anglo-Indian style restaurant fusing flavors in Wicker Park, near the Ukrainian Village.

Formento’s for Chicago Restaurant Week (8/10)

Though I was initially skeptical about dining at Formento’s, I’m happy to announce that not only is it an awesome restaurant in general, it’s also one of the best Restaurant Week deals available this year!

La Sirena Clandestina (4.5/10)

You should never come out of a restaurant having paid $50 for your meal and feeling like it was a waste of money. You know it’s not worth it when your favorite part – not to mention the largest portion – of the meal was the $6 garlic fries.

Located right next to one of Chicago’s most popular Vietnamese restaurants Tank Noodle, it’s the first truly authentic Thai restaurant I’ve discovered in the city, and is a must-go place if you’re looking for rich and aromatic flavors, a bright and colorful atmosphere and a great price.
